IValua is an editor selling ASP.NET-based solutions for the purchasing departments of large companies. I worked as the lead developer in a team integrating this purchasing solution to the business requirements of a very competitive and cost-driven company called Faurecia, owned by Peugeot. This platform is used by more than 400 users and referenced more than one thousand suppliers. Décision-Achats, a French magazine about the purchasing business, ran a story about this tool.
More specifically, I was in charge of designing and orchestrating the following main functionalities:
- the Action Plan module which helps the purchasers to set cost-related targets for their respective suppliers.
- the Scorecard module which allows the purchasers to assess the suppliers by given out grades.
- the Performance Import module which imports quality-related metrics from the factories of suppliers. The module analyzes these metrics and compares them to the targets set by the purchasers. The import functionality is powered by Integration Services.
As the senior developer, I was also in charge of mentoring two other developers of the teams by providing design and technical guidances. We worked on a ASP.NET-based architecture. The reporting functionalities were developed based on the Word and Excel document generation tools by Syncfusion and the charting component by .net Charting.
The business rules associated to the development of the purchasing platform were complex. Therefore, by focusing on a model-driven development, our team has managed to deliver the evolutions on time.
Finally, I have also been involved in requests for proposal by quoting and planning projects for the sales department.
