I am currently working on an evolution of a website powered by Drupal (version 5). This evolution requires to install a new theme which will then be enabled for specific pages.
Activating a new theme triggers the creation of a new set of configuration options for the blocks.
In Drupal, blocks are boxes of content that may be rendered into certain regions of web pages, for example, into sidebars. Blocks can be positioned by specifying which area of the page they should appear in (e.g., a sidebar).
I volunteered for one year in Arusha, Tanzania with a NGO based in Washington DC called Visions in Action. I helped non-profit organizations to set up web-based content management solutions to extend their reach on various stakeholders such as the Members of Parliament (MP), sister organizations, and donors.
TNRF is a collective civil society-based initiative to improve natural resource management and conservation in Tanzania by addressing fundamental issues of governance. We view the quality and equity of governance as fundamentally determining how natural resources are managed and how they support the livelihoods of Tanzanians and the sustainable economic development of the country.
As a consultant in the year 2007, I developed, designed, and still maintain this web site which aims at collecting a wealth of information about natural resources in Tanzania and more generally in Africa.
ANGONET is an acronym for Arusha NGO Network. It is a regional Umbrella body for Civil Society Organizations primarily addressing development and advocacy issues in and outside Arusha in Tanzania.
As a network, Policy Forum works together to open up and influence policy processes that improve the lives of all people, especially those who are socially disadvantaged and impoverished, in order to empower them to self-organize and become part of a social movement for change.
As a consultant in Tanzania, I developed and designed this site. The preparation stage included the visit of the office in Dar es Salaam to assess the needs and come up with the type of the required content. Training on how to create and edit content with Drupal was also provided to the employees.
